The Ganga is in spate, and the steps have disappeared.

The skies have opened. The waters flow even more swiftly. Cold, dark and relentless.

| We seek refuge waiting for the rains to stop. |
And then there is a pause, as the sun comes out, adding to the drama.

| It is almost eleven, and now the mynahs call noisily, ready to face the morning. It is time to move on. |
