Day 31 - Barbet bonanza

I remember tt was the 7th of July
that amazing evening when the barbets did fly
As I drank my chai,
I counted five
Happy to see them thrive up on that teak tree, high.

First there was this pair, and a bulbul

She flew off, and another male flew in.

This chappie perched all by himself

And then this one swung gently on the treetop.

Coppersmith Barbet - (Psilopogon haemacephalus)
They love fruits and the tallest tree perches
The red-capped male
the more olive female
tuk tuk tuk he  calls, for his mate he searches.
