Day 39 - May flowers in August.
The spectacular Delonix regia in my neighbourhood has bloomed again. It was called Mayflower for a reason. But it is now August.
The tree is not a native tree, but no matter - I love those flowers. It is not the tree's fault for having been transplanted to another continent by us humans. It adds colour and it gives shade and does everything a tree does - except most importantly adding to the biodiversity.
They grow quickly, give good shade, but also fall quickly. In our neighbourhood, every monsoon at least one of these trees fall

Obviously, one of my favorite tree..also one of the few whose scientific name I remember..they are quite a joy to click.
